The first Speaking Out event Public Speaking Made Easy took place at Sense Loft in Soho, London on Wednesday 10 February 2010.

Speakers David Bell, Katie Streten and Christian Heilmann shared tips on how to cope with nerves, how to be a better public speaker, and how to be yourself.

Speaking Out at City Hall

We held a Speaking Out event for the Greater London Authority Women’s Network at City Hall on Tuesday 20 April 2010.

Special guest speaker Rosie Boycott, Chair of London Food, spoke about her personal experiences with public speaking. Katie Streten, Head of Digital Strategy at Imagination, presented common concerns about public speaking and how to deal with them.

The presentations were followed by three workshops on improving confidence with public speaking, how to speak comfortably in a male-dominated environment, and how to be a compelling speaker.
